MEET MANUEL ANGUITA SÁNCHEZ

 

Medical degree (Medicine and Surgery) University of Granada (1974-1980).

Specialist in Cardiology, with residency at the Clinical Hospital “Puerta de Hierro”, Madrid (1982-1987).

Doctor in Medicine and Surgery  Autonoma University of Madrid (1986).

Physician Assistant of the Cardiology Service of the Reina Sofía Hospital in Córdoba, since 1987.

Director of 14 doctoral theses.

Author of more than 200 scientific publications in national and international journals with a peer review process, and more than 30 books and book chapters.

Member of the editorial committee of: “Revista Española de Cardiología”,” Revista Clínica Española”, and “Emergencias”.

Vice President of the Spanish Society of Cardiology (1993-1995).

President of the Heart Failure and Transplant Section of the Spanish Society of Cardiology (2001-2002).

President of the Andalusian Society of Cardiology (2003-2006).

Vice President of the Spanish Society of Cardiology (2009-2011).

President of the Spanish Society of Cardiology since October 2017.
